Description:
The oxygen internal compression process with molecular sieve for purification and air boosting, medium pressure boosting turbo expander, and the expanded air flows into lower column, the argon is extracted through complete rectification is employed by this air separation plant.
The purified air is split into two streams. One stream is as instrument air.
The other stream is split into two parts: one part is sent into lower column after expanded. The other part is sent into plate-fin heat exchanger after cooled to exchange heat with refluxed gas. The cooled air flows into liquid oxygen evaporator to exchange heat with LOX, after which the air is throttled into lower column.
Liquid air, pure liquid nitrogen and waste liquid nitrogen are obtained after preliminary rectifying in lower column, and after being throttled in the subcooler, they are sent into upper column. LOX is obtained at the bottom of upper column after further rectification in upper column, which is sent into LOX evaporator after being boosted in the LOX pump. The evaporated oxygen gas flows into plate-fin heat exchanger to be rewarmed and fed out of cold box to oxygen pipelines.
A certain amount of argon fraction extracted to the crude argon column which is structurally divided into two sections. The reflux liquid at the bottom of the second section (crude argon column Ⅱ)is fed by liquid pump to the top of the first section (crude argon columnⅠ) where it is also used as the reflux liquid. The crude liquid argon is obtained through argon fraction rectified in crude argon column and fed to the middle of pure argon column. The pure liquid argon is obtained at the bottom of pure argon column following rectification in this column.
